"guys! check out the blondie!!" i called out as a cute and tall young girl, perhaps a year younger than us walked into the gym. i grinned and turned to the boys.
"yeah, she's pretty hot." stefan agreed and jason snickered. "ask her out man! go on!"
i let out a light laugh but shook my head. "nahh. i think i'd just stay here and enjoy the view. but man, those curves.. ohh she;s a keeper alright." i commented.
jason put down the weight lifter and went to my side. "dude, you are single now. why wont you just hit on the blondie?"
increasing my speed, i smiled. " my relationship is still strong okay, theres really no need of me looking for other girls. "
"as friends." he stated. "you guys are strong in the terms of friendship. not real relationship!" jason blurted and gulped his water.
"im fine with either." i shrugged it and jason gave up. but stefan on the other hand come and joined me on the track mill. "are you out of your mind bro?" he said, "are you telling me that you and alice are still hooking up?"
i laughed with no humor, "can it stefan. we're not hooking up. " i told him. "we are just completely platonic friends. "
"friends with benefits?" jason butted in but i just rolled my eyes, ignoring him.
stefan continue shooting me still, " but wait, you're the one who asked her on the first place right? "
i turned "asked her what? be mi girlfriend? yeah. "
"but you are also the one who broke things off?"
my lips form a thin line. "yes. "
"and she's cool with being friends again?" jason shoot.
i bit my lips. "well, its more like a mutual understanding." i paused and think for a while. "we figured that our relationship wont work that way and we are better off as friends. like we always have been."
the boys remained silent, absorbing the input. but five minutes later. jason pops up the question.
"so why arent you asking other girls out again??"
i groan and decrease my speed on my track mill. "damn it dude. why are we discussing this?" as the speed drops down i slowed my pace from running to jogging. "its sort of my policy you know. only one girlfriend a year"
"but it has been three years! alice is the only one you ever dated!" stefan shouted loudly, making almost everyone turned.
stefan's face turned crimson and apologized.
i stuffed a laugh with jason but its rather clear on stefan's face that he wanted a clear expression. "dude, alice and i have been strong since year one. we only broke up this year and since its our last year, there's no point of me go looking out for other good looking ladies now isnt it?" i smiled,stepping off the machine "besides, you should be thankful that i refuse to date, or you guy might not have any ladies to be your date on our prom night!"
with that, both stefan and jason went drop dead silent. exchanging looks, they uttered the same sentence in unison. "have you asked anyone out yet!?"
well, i was out before i could see the commotion they would make in the gym. the twins, always so ignorant.
after showering and put on clean and sweet smelling shirt i make my way out to the library. i saw her figure walking ever so quickly but still unaware of my presence. so i called her out and she turned, smiling , i pulled her into a quick hug.
"im not smelly now am i?" i asked her and she laughed. "youre not but i am!" she said, grinning.
i took her bags from her left hand and we walked together side by side towards my car. "so i saw this hot blondie just now. jason and stefan keep ordering me to ask her out." i telling her about my day.
"well, did you?" she asked still grinning, completely know what i would say.
"of course not. besides, i already have my eyes on someone."
her face turned into a fake shock expression. "ohh may i know who?"
i lifted my shoulder and let it down "oh just that particular someone." i said.
keeping her voice steady, she asked "i thoughts you and that someone are done?"
"we are," i said, and i reach out for her hands which is warm as always " but she'll always have a spot in my heart till forever is over. "
and with that, both alice and i went into my car and drove off.
somehow, this was inspired by today. and today was less stressful.
