In the dark room they sat against the wall. They sat next to each other so close their shoulder touched. The room was small and had nothing but a metal table, a few pens and two hard, uncomfortable chairs.
Her hair was messy and her face was bruised. Traces of her mascara tinted her pale face and dry blood painted her lips.
His hair was short and combed. his clothes are ironed and tucked in. His face looked fresh with two small traces of shaving cuts and he smelled faintly like lemons and wood combined.
Valerie sigh and Blaine turned his head to look at her. She looked calmer now compared to when he watched her behind the one way mirror. Gently, he placed his arm around her shoulder. Valerie didnt look at him still, instead her gaze was locked on the dirty wall infront of them. So, he hold her cold hands and said gently.
"i'll take you away, Val." he said, trying to look into her eyes."i'll take you somewhere where you can be happy"
without uttering a word, a single tear fell from Valerie's right eye.
Blaine squeeze Valerie's hands harder, softly whispering "you'll be alright. we'll be together.I wont leave you anymore."
Finally, Valerie turned to Blaine. With bloodshot eyes, Valerie whispered. "you're too late, Blaine..."
and everything went super fast. one second Val was sitting on the floor, next thing he saw was her reaching for one of those hard, uncomfortable metal chairs and knock him out cold. He remembered hearing the doors being banged, he remembered seeing her face as she kneeled beside him with a small razor blade in her hands. He remembered the urges to fight her off but he refused. He remembered the painful stabs as the blade slash through his skin. He remembered seeing her laugh as blood ran pretty all over her hands.
As pain wash over him, he shut his eyes, and hope that where ever the real Valerie is at , she is happy there.
