she peeked in the room. the curtains were drawn and the sunshine were pouring in, spreading its light to every inch of the room.
the room has been vacant since forever but occasionally, she would ask her maid to come in and clean things up.
its been a while since she step in that little room. since...him gone.
she tiptoed slowly and walk in the room, hands out touching everything he used to touch.
she let her hand felt the picture frame, the books and finally stop at the black piano, laying unmoving and untouched at the corner.
she sighed and let herself settled on the black chair. she pulled her hair into a ponytail and placed her fingers gently on the keys.
inhaling a deep breath, remembering his scent in her head, she closed her eyes and softly pressed the keys.
sweet yet sad melody came out perfectly from the piano as she continue playing.
continue playing their song.
occasionally she would paused to wipe the tears that fall but never she did fully stop from playing the song.
the song he loved the most.
when the last verse ended, she opened her eyes and stared at the empty space beside her.
"i missed you. but you were right, playing this piano does helps to reduce the pain." she whispered, wiping the tears before stand up and straighten her white blouse. she gently shut the piano lid and tapped it twice before strutting her way out from the room pretending to be the same strong and tough girl everyone thought she was.
